Andorra Telecom, unique global telecommunications operator in the Principality of Andorra, has launched the first national cloud to service companies and institutions in the country, called Som Cloud. An unprecedented project in Andorra supported by Nexica and NetApp technology.

The goal has been to develop a national cloud which guarantees, both local and international customers, that their data are physically within the Principality of Andorra and with the data protection guarantee and legal security offered in the country.

For this purpose, Nexica, partner integration of Andorra Telecom, has designed and implemented a cloud strategy with FlexPod architecture, where storage is based on NetApp FAS series. In this sense, NetApp technology allows virtual servers storage and files natively, as well as having advanced replication solutions based on SnapMirror.

In this way, Andorra Telecom relies on Nexica for this new growth stage and being able to offer storage services in the cloud with Som Cloud.
